2022 Ford Bronco Badlands: A Two-Year Overland Prerunner Build

OFF THE GRIND spent two years turning a 2022 Ford Bronco Badlands (Sasquatch package) into a genuinely capable overland/prerunner rig, and the walkaround covers what actually earned its place on the truck.

Tires were the first lesson. The build started on Falcon R1s, which gripped hard but rode rough, so it moved to NITTO Ridge Grapplers for a better balance of comfort and capability. For suspension, the team worked with Dobinson and tested both the IMS and MR kits, ultimately preferring the MR kit for its performance and adjustability, backed by adjustable trailing arms and a panhard bar.

Protection and recovery came from RCI rock sliders (which double as a step), a Warn Elite bumper, and a VR Evo 10s winch. On the performance side, a Corsa Sport exhaust and Mishimoto cold air intake went on; the Corsa unit was lighter and moved weight more toward the center. Stock headlights were swapped for Form Lighting units for better night visibility.
